Seattle Hula Productions (Hula Halau O Leihuluonalani) offers Hula and Tahitian dance classes for all age groups - kids, teens and adults at any skill level - from beginners to intermediate.
All classes are taught or lead by Leila Leihuluonalani Fernandez Matthews, a Hawaiian choreographer and dancer. Beginner classes will teach the basics; so, no experience is necessary while more advanced classes are available for experienced dancers. Hula is a dance that accompanies a chant or song with each movement having a corresponding meaning to a song lyric. Plus, Hula is a great core workout especially the staccato hip movements of Tahitian dance.
